13.11.12 Pasta and Cake

Having had a bad experience at a local butchers on Friday, namely I brought the meat I needed for the week, placed it in the fridge and by Sunday all of it was off. (Not a happy mummy) and had to feed three adults and four children under four for lunch, I resorted to the firm favourite with all our family, and most friends, its simple, easy and fills you up. Namely “Nana’s Pasta”, Now why it is known as this is beyond me as it was actually my Grandfather who used to make it!

Tomato Puree, Onion, garlic, freshly ground black pepper, pasta, and grated cheese.

Today, we also had some carrots and ham that needed eating up, so I served them up on the side two.

Tuesday’s Cake of the Day was: Apple and Cinnamon.

225g Caster Sugar, 225g Stork, 275g Self Raising Flour, 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons Baking Powder, 4 tablespoons milk, three apples peeled and chopped and four tablespoons of cinnamon. Cook for 45mins on 150 degrees (fan assisted oven)
